Windows 7, It's Free!

So more than likely, you aren't part of the MSDN or TechNet developer program. Which means you can't download Windows 7 RC1 right now, BUT don't worry come May 5th the lot of you will be able to download it straight from Microsoft for free. Intense to say the least.

So if you weren't part of that small herd of people that got Windows 7 Beta 1 when it came out a few months back, it looks like you shall have your justice...in that everyone will be able to download it.

No matter what kind of background you come from, more than likely you maybe curious about what this OS is offering (in comparison to its Beta 1 predecessor, Vista, or XP). Seven is all about picking up the shamble that was Vista. I didn't say that though, I use Vista and I love it. It trumps XP beyond belief, the ease of use is astonishing, and it plays nice with my Microsoft lifestyle (it's like the Apple lifestyle, only no walls.) From the latest reports and my own personal tests, SevenRC1 can flex some serious muscle in comparison to its earlier Beta 1 version. It's not leaps and bounds faster, but its faster, which leads me to wonder what the final build is going to be like.

Microsoft has taken a lesson (as they usually do from other companies) and is offering integrated virtualization in Seven. Vista kind of does this too, but they are toting this as a true virtualized machine, what does this mean to you the common user? It mean it will be impossible for you to install something that won't work on Seven. No more gross incompatibilities, old apps run alongside and in your new OS seamlessly. This idea is borrowed from the concept of virtualization, made insanely popular by companies such as VMWare and Parallels.

Live Mesh, Windows Azure, Live Services, Windows Mobile 6.5/7 and Windows Seven.

Microsoft is about to show the world again who started this game.
