Oh yes. They've done it. Microsoft has caught up with the rest of the world and built a Facebook app for their mobile OS. In the short of amount of time I've spent using it, I'm loving it. Then again, I'm sure a few of you had the leaked copy for some time now...but this one is the final build!
The app knows how to natively work with your phone's camera, video, outlook and other native things to the WinMo OS. Simply brilliant. Probably a feature I've always looked for on Facebook and always had trouble was finding the "Phonebook." In case you have no idea what I'm talking about, everyone has a built in application on facebook called "Phonebook" that lists all of your friends phone number should they have filled out the phone number field on their profile. The Facebook app has a single button to go to it, push a contact, and immediately dials them. Go integration.

Another slick feature (as far as integration goes) is found to the right here. Right from the app's menu you can take a picture/video and immediately upload it to Facebook. Sweet. If there is one thing this app is compensating for is the surge in Twitter. Everyone and their mother seems to be on Twitter and in an effort to keep up Facebook is certainly pushing a lot of "instant" services in this app. Whatever. We're happy this thing rocks.
If only a certain company by the name of Cerulean Studios decided to make a certain product by the name of Astra for Windows Mobile so we could update our Facebook AND Twitter status from one place. That'd be sweet...seriously that'd be great. Anyway enough banter and praise. You want this app don't you!? Well here's the official Microsoft download link.

It's a big deal. For serious.
