Another Small PC

While I was looking for a plug converter for my mother at Akihabara I stumbled across this little PC here.

It’s definitely not as cool as the new VAIO, but hey, it still gets the job done. It’s called the “Willcom D4”, Willcom being a cellphone company of sorts.

The specs:

  • 84 x 188 x 26 (or 35 with battery pack) mm
  • Windows Vista Home Premium SP1
  • Intel Atom Processor Z520 (1.33GHz)
  • 1GB RAM
  • 5in widescreen display
  • 40GB HardDrive
  • Slide-out keyboard

It’s definitely a cool piece of gadgetry. I don’t think I’d get it, but for someone who wants something portable, this could be a good option. The mouse is on the right side of the screen, and the buttons on the left. They light up when touched which is “cute” at best. The screen, I thought, was way too small to do anything productive. But hey, you can get a dock which you can then connect to a monitor which would make it more efficient. Ah and it can also turn into a TV, which is a huge plus for people here (not sure about westerners).
