I was walking back from work the other day when my phone went off to alert me of some appointment that was going to happen in an hour (it was a haircut). When it suddenly hit me...
"Ya know that iPhone is pretty spiffy but one application at a time, what age do we live in? This is absurd! This product is being sold as this end all be all device, and on top of it, Apple is telling you what you want and how you want it. I rely on several applications open at once on my phone..."
and I realized
"oh, battery life. that's the selling point."
but then another brief shutter clicked in my head...
"but...who cares? 'lith-ion" (or lions as i call them) were invented to prolong battery life. Six hour notebooks exist (not the Macbook if you were even thinking that), mp3 players with 24 hour batteries..." It almost made me wonder that if the iPhone had background processes, what would happen to the battery life. More importantly does anyone really care? If a device is truly, beyond useful, if it has at least a 3 hour charge (most devices do) then isn't that "good battery life" ? My Samsung Epix has lasted me several days off a single charge. I'll repeat that as it bears repeating.
My Windows Mobile 6.1 Samsung Epix phone has lasted me several days off a single charge.
FACTORY STANDARD BATTERY.
Now i chose the image i chose for a reason, i mean...do devices like this external battery pack merit ownership? Sure they may merit existance, but ownership? I'm not being sarcastic when i pose the following question. if you need an external battery, besides just it lasting longer, what are you doing on your phone to blow through a battery?
